Unfortunately, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has little control over what goes into makeup and the skin care products we all use. So what’s the truth about Parabens? Since they are synthetic preservatives found in tens of thousands of cosmetics, they must be safe...right? Well, let’s take a look.
Parabens prolong the shelf live of products and are chemicals that mimic the body’s own hormones. They are actually disruptors that interfere with the body’s endocrine system, meaning the hypothalamus, the ovaries, and the thyroid—virtually every system in the body. Measurable concentrations of six different Parabens have been identified in biopsy samples from breast tumors and are found in many urine samples—from females as well as males.
Do you know what you are putting on your skin? Why take a risk that’s easy to avoid? Go Paraben-Free by avoiding: Methylparaben, Proplyparaben, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben, and Sodium Butylparaben.
Surprisingly, and disappointingly, many “Organic” and “Natural” companies still list Parabens in their list of ingredients. Check the labels!
UltraPure Cosmetics never use Parabens in any of their makeup or skin care products. The National Rosacea Society, Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, and Aestheticians recommend UltraPure Cosmetics. All products are completely free of Parabens, Bismuth Oxychloride, Petro-Chemicals, SLS, Talc, lakes/dyes/carmine, perfumes, and many other undesirable ingredients.
Look for additional articles on undesirable ingredients and get educated as to what’s in your cosmetics bag!
