Did you know that nitric oxide is critical to moving oxygen throughout your body?
Nitric oxide dilates blood vessels, thereby increasing blood supply and reducing blood pressure. Conversely, it helps protect tissues from damage due to low blood supply. Nitric oxide levels generally decline with age, starting around the age of 40. However, since covid, we have seen those levels drop in ages as young as ten. This has a significant impact on your whole body:
- Increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
- Cold feet (classic)
- Poor circulation
- Fatigue
- Erectile dysfunction
- High blood pressure
- Depression
- Poor vision
- Impaired memory
Are you experiencing any of these symptoms? How do you know if you have adequate nitric oxide levels? There is a simple test you can do at home to determine if oxygen is reaching your brain.
The nitric oxide test uses a test strip to determine if your body is producing sufficient nitric oxide. Simply pool saliva on the tip of your tongue, dip the test strip in, and look at the color. White or light color indicates a problem. Intense cherry pink is great! The test strip we suggest you can get on Amazon.
What reduces nitric oxide production?
- Smoking
- Lack of exercise
- Antacids or PPI (proton-pump inhibitors or the ‘purple pill’)
- Poor gut bacteria
What can you do?
We have found two different products that are effective in raising nitric oxide levels in a matter of days with the correct dose. BFF is a product that works 80% of the time. We recommend starting with two a day, dissolving the chewable tablets in water in the evening, and drinking in the morning. Chewing the tablets can create problems with the enamel on your teeth, so it is best to dissolve and drink the tablets.
Two test strips are included when you purchase BFF, so you can test your nitric oxide levels after five days of taking BFF. It is best to test before taking your morning dose. If the test strip is cherry pink, you are at the correct dose. If not, increase the dose to four to five tablets a day. If there is no change after another week, consider using our Opti Nitric.
Opti Nitric is the alternative product we recommend if BFF doesn’t work. The usual dose is two capsules once a day. Here is an overview of Opti Nitric.
