As a Naturopath and Wisdom Coach, some client stories stick with you for years!
I remember a client looking at a nitric oxide display and asking, “Should I be taking something for nitric oxide?”
I responded, “I don’t know. What color are your nitric oxide test strips?
He replied, “They are white on the test strip.”
I responded, “That’s the lowest option – do you want to keel over of a heart attack?”
He made the purchase, and one month later, this dear friend, fantastic husband, and father keeled over from a heart attack. I’ve never forgotten that image or story
Was low nitric oxide the total cause of the heart attack? No one can say for sure. However, it could have been a contributor.
Months later, his widow returned the unopened nitric oxide support product with the receipt. He had made the purchase yet not taken the next most critical step – taking the product.
So what exactly is nitric oxide, and why should you know your levels, which are so easy to test?
Nitric Oxide (NO) serves many critical functions in the body.
- Cardiovascular
NO signals the vasodilation response of arteries. Vasodilation improves blood flow, increases oxygen to the brain, and helps regulate blood pressure.
Symptoms: cold feet and/or hands - Pulmonary
NO signals bronchodilator nerves to dilate, increasing the lung’s ability to deliver oxygen throughout the body. - Immune
NO blocks virus replication, giving the immune system a better chance to fight off symptoms associated with viruses. - Erectile Dysfunction
Low NO can have an impact on ED. Lowered blood flow can be a key component of ED.
Research shows that NO levels naturally decrease after the age of 20. By 60, it can reduce by up to 85%. However, since 2020 and covid, I’ve seen low levels in teenagers and even children as young as six.
We have found three different products to help boost NO levels with our clients. BFF by OHS is the most popular. However, Opti Nitric by OHS or Neuro by Neumi can also address the issue when BFF doesn’t work.
BFF comes with 2 NO test strips so you can get a baseline score and then retest in 7-10 days to see if your score has improved. A typical dose is two tablets dissolved in about 6 oz of water overnight and consumed in the morning.
Forest and I have found that supporting our NO is key for many reasons. BFF is a simple, inexpensive way to improve your NO and help your circulatory system. Take the steps today to support YOU!
